American Psycho is a 2000 satirical horror film based off the 1991 novel of the same name. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 21, 2000 before coming to American theaters on April 14, 2000.
This recording is unfortunately very incomplete, starting around the last half-hour of the movie. I thought I'd feature it on the site anyway because of how much I like American Psycho along with the fact that it's from ThrillerMax which is more uncommon among the plethora of movie channel recordings. I found this recording on a tape that had Apocolypse Now Redux (2001) from Showtime, a retail dub of The Whole Nine Yards (2000), and recordings of The Sea Hawk (1940) and Teddy, the Rough Rider (1940) from Turner Classic Movies. Out of all of these films, it's a shame that American Psycho had to be most incomplete recording.
None of the commercials or promos from ThrillerMax survived as the recording gets cut off near the end of the credits. Embedded is some of the film's soundtrack orchestrated by John Cale.
